Literatura manabita como recurso didáctico para la redacción de obras en el contexto local.

Abstract

The present research, titled “Manabita literature as a teaching resource for writing works in the local context”, was developed in the “Juan Montalvo” Fiscomisional Educational Unit of the city of Manta, focusing on first-year high school students, parallel “C”. The study arises from the need to strengthen writing skills through the use of local literary references, since little knowledge and appreciation of Manabí literature in the classroom was evident. Through the mixed methodological approach, quantitative and qualitative techniques were integrated such as; observation sheet, surveys, interviews and focus group exploring perceptions and experiences of teachers, experts and students regarding the use of Manabí works as a teaching resource. The findings showed that the use of relevant teaching resources, such as “historical roulette”, fosters interest in local literature, stimulates creativity and also strengthens writing with a sense of cultural identity. It is concluded that Manabí literature, properly integrated into the school curriculum, can become an effective tool to promote contextualized writing, strengthen the sense of belonging and enrich literary education from a more inclusive and representative approach.
